Powerful Printable RFID Soft Anti-Metal Tag

In 2011, Germany first announced the concept of Industry 4.0.

In June 2013, General Electric Company (GE) of the United States proposed the concept of Industrial Internet.

In recent years, the Internet of Things, as a strategic emerging industry, has become the top priority of the country’s development, and the Internet of Things industry is also developing continuously.

The continuous development of concepts and strategies in various countries shows that the cross-border integration of information technology and traditional industries has become an inevitable trend, all of which point to the core of intelligent manufacturing. Smart manufacturing needs to collect data from industrial equipment, then use and analyze the data for the next step.

However, in extreme application scenarios such as metals, ordinary UHF RFID tags cannot be used, and data collection faces great challenges. RFID soft anti-metal tags came into being. It uses special anti-electromagnetic wave absorption material to encapsulate into the electronic label. It not only technically solves the problem that ordinary electronic labels cannot be pasted on metal surfaces, but also sticks to metal surfaces like ordinary labels. On surfaces, it takes on the important responsibility of collecting data in extreme environments such as metal.

The structure of electronic RFID tags is developing towards light, thin, small and soft. In this regard, soft electronic tags have unparalleled advantages over other materials, so the future development of electronic tags in radio frequency identification systems may be combined with flexible electronic manufacturing, making the use of RFID tags more widespread and convenient. In addition, it can greatly reduce costs and bring higher yields. This is also one of the future development directions of flexible electronics manufacturing.

Making low-cost soft anti metal RFID tags has two implications. On the one hand, it’s a useful attempt at making flexible electronics. Electronic circuits and electronic equipment are developing in the direction of “light, thin, small, and soft”, and the development and research of flexible electronic circuits and electronic equipment are more attractive.

For example, flexible circuit boards that can be produced today are circuits that contain thin wires and are made of thin, flexible polymer films. It can be applied in surface mount technology and can be bent into countless desired shapes.

Flexible circuits using SMT technology are very thin and lightweight, with an insulation thickness of less than 25 microns. The flexible circuit can be bent arbitrarily, and can be bent into a cylinder to make full use of three-dimensional space.

It breaks the traditional way of thinking of the inherent use area, thus forming the ability to make full use of the volume shape, which can greatly improve the effective use density of the current method, and form a high-density assembly form, which conforms to the flexibility and development trend.

On the other hand, it can accelerate the understanding and development of radio frequency identification technology in our country. In radio frequency identification system, transponder is the key technology. RFID tags are one of the many forms of RFID transponders, and flexible anti-metal RFID tags are suitable for more occasions. The reduction in the cost of RFID tags will greatly promote the truly widespread application of radio frequency identification technology.

The impact of metal objects on tag antenna parameters and performance is mainly reflected in two aspects.

In short, there are antenna fields on the one hand and antenna parameters (eg: impedance, S-parameters, radiation efficiency) on the other.

In the field where the antenna works, there are incident waves emitted by the reader and reflected waves reflected by the metal plate. There is a certain phase difference between the incident wave and the reflected wave, which causes the two to cancel. Each other weakens the field strength to a certain extent. In this way, the tag antenna working in this environment cannot induce enough current to provide energy to the tag chip, so the tag chip cannot be activated and cannot work.

Therefore, a suitable RFID anti-metal tag is a prerequisite to ensure the application effect of the RFID system.

FOCUS RFID can provide various RFID soft anti-metal tags. Compared with similar products in the market, it has stable performance, thin thickness, good printing effect, the farthest reading distance on metal can reach 4~5 meters, and the price is favorable. Support customization, all tags are 100% tested before leaving the factory to ensure quality. Check the following characteristics:

* Suitable for RFID tags on metal surfaces;

* Ultra-small, ultra-thin, only 1MM thick, suitable for thermal transfer printers;

* Good printing effect;

* Can be slightly bent and fit curved surfaces;

* The reading distance is very far, the reading distance on the metal can reach 5 meters;

* Support FCC and ETSI frequency requirements;

* Can reach IP68 protection level.
