Phased array antenna detection technology is an advanced wireless communication technology that achieves precise directional transmission and reception of beams by electronically controlling the phase and amplitude of antenna array elements. This technology has the characteristics of high precision, high efficiency, strong flexibility and anti-interference, and can track multiple targets. This technology is mainly used in military radar, civil communications, aerospace and traffic monitoring to improve target positioning, communication transmission and monitoring efficiency. Today we are going to talk about the second-generation RFID smart access control independently developed by SCO. It is based on ultra-high frequency RFID technology, applies phased array technology, and combines AI self-learning algorithms. It is an innovative product that is cross-era in the Internet of Things RFID industry, bringing users an unprecedented access control management experience.

Practical application test

In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed solution, we designed three scenarios for testing: new retail settlement, personnel entry and exit management, and item in and out management. This can more intuitively demonstrate the performance of the new technology in complex scenarios. Click on the video below to watch the scene test results!

1. New retail settlement scenario solution

(1) Current situation description:

In the new retail settlement environment, due to the frequent flow of personnel and complex settlement areas, traditional settlement equipment often leads to inaccurate settlement due to misjudgment. Especially during peak hours, multiple products enter and exit at the same time, increasing the risk of misreading and missing reading, affecting the customer’s shopping experience and the merchant’s operating efficiency.

(2) Difficulty analysis:

The flow of people and goods is mixed, making it difficult to accurately distinguish.

When multiple products enter and exit at the same time, the equipment processing capacity is limited.

In complex environments, the equipment is easily interfered with, resulting in misjudgment.

(3) Demand solution:

For the new retail settlement scenario, we introduced the combined application of phased array antenna detection technology, AI model algorithm and ultra-high frequency RFID. The system can accurately remove prohibited tags and read only mobile tags, thus solving the problem of misjudgment of traditional settlement equipment in complex environments. Through real-time tracking and dynamic identification, the system can accurately determine the entry and exit status of goods and improve the accuracy and efficiency of settlement.

(4) Test scenario:

Test content 1: Conduct 10 tag movement tests in the settlement area (testing in and out in the same direction), and place 10 prohibited tags around to verify the system’s ability to accurately identify mobile tags.

Test content 2: Conduct a mixed test of 5 tags in and 5 tags out, and also place 10 prohibited tags around to further verify the stability and accuracy of the system when multiple goods enter and exit at the same time.

Test results: The system successfully identified and recorded the entry and exit of 10 mobile tags, accurately removed prohibited tags, and did not misread or miss. In addition, when a mixed test of 5 tags in and 5 tags out was performed, the system was still able to accurately read and process the information of all mobile tags, without any misjudgment or miss, and the processing speed was stable and efficient.

2. Personnel access management solution

(1) Current situation description:

In the personnel access management scenario, traditional access control systems often lead to misjudgment due to factors such as complex personnel flow and environmental interference, affecting the accuracy and security of personnel statistics.

(2) Difficulty analysis:

Frequent personnel flow makes it difficult to accurately count in real time.

Environmental interference causes equipment to report false alarms or miss reports.

The traditional access control system has a low level of intelligence and is difficult to adapt to complex scenarios.

(3) Demand solution:

For the personnel access management scenario, we also use a combination of phased array antenna detection technology, AI model algorithm and ultra-high frequency RFID. The system can accurately remove static tags and only read mobile tags, thereby solving the problem of misjudgment of traditional access control systems in complex environments. Through real-time tracking and dynamic identification, the system can accurately count the entry and exit of personnel and improve the accuracy and security of access control management.

(4) Test scenario:

Test content: Conduct a tag movement test (entry and exit in the same direction) in the access control area, and place 10 prohibited tags around to verify the system’s ability to accurately identify mobile tags and ensure that the entry and exit of people can be accurately counted in complex environments.

Test results: The system successfully identified and recorded the entry and exit of mobile tags, and accurately eliminated static tags and prohibited tags. In complex environments, the system can still maintain efficient and stable operation, accurately count the entry and exit of people, and there is no misjudgment or omission.

3. Item in and out management solution

(1) Current situation description

In the item in and out management scenario, traditional management methods face many challenges. Due to the complex flow of items, the wide variety of items, and the various interferences in the environment, traditional management methods often find it difficult to track the entry and exit of items in real time and accurately, affecting the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management.

(2) Difficulty analysis

Complex item flow: Traditional management methods find it difficult to effectively track the real-time location and flow of items.

Severe environmental interference: External factors such as electromagnetic interference may cause equipment to report false alarms or miss alarms, reducing management accuracy.

Low level of intelligence: Traditional management methods are not intelligent enough and cannot adapt to the efficient and accurate needs of modern inventory management.

(3) Demand resolution

In view of the difficulties in managing the entry and exit of items, we use a combination of phased array antenna detection technology, AI model algorithm and ultra-high frequency RFID technology to achieve accurate identification and tracking of items, automatically complete entry and exit registration and inventory updates, improve management accuracy and efficiency, and provide a new and efficient solution for inventory management, effectively avoiding false alarms and miss alarms, and reducing manual operations.

(4) Test scenario

Test content: Conduct 7 tag movement tests in the entry and exit area (testing in and out in the same direction), and place 7 prohibited tags around. Verify the system’s ability to accurately identify mobile tags and accurately track the entry and exit of items in complex environments.

Test results: The system successfully identified and recorded the entry and exit status of all mobile tags, accurately eliminated static tags, and performed well in complex environments, meeting the requirements of inventory management for efficient and accurate management.
